Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

These terms govern your use of Swup Express, a scheduled courier service operating in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. By booking a delivery with us, you agree to them.

The service

We run delivery routes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Bookings for a run day close at 9 PM the night before. Pickups happen between roughly 10 AM and 2 PM and deliveries the same day, before about 5 PM. Times are targets, not guarantees, and can be affected by traffic, weather or events outside our control.

Bookings

A booking is a request for a delivery slot and is subject to available capacity for the chosen run day. You are responsible for the accuracy of the pickup and delivery details you provide; we are not liable for failed or delayed deliveries caused by wrong or incomplete addresses or phone numbers.

Pricing & payment

Delivery within Port Harcourt is a flat rate (from ₦2,999), plus a small handling fee for medium or large packages. Deliveries to areas outside the city are charged the flat rate plus a per-kilometre fee, which we confirm with you on WhatsApp before pickup. You can pay online (via Paystack), in cash at pickup, or in cash on delivery.

Cancellations & changes

You can cancel or reschedule a booking free of charge any time before pickup — just message us on WhatsApp with your tracking code. Prepaid bookings that are cancelled before pickup are refunded.

What we won't carry

We do not carry anything illegal, hazardous, or prohibited by law, nor cash, jewellery or other high-value valuables, live animals, or items that require refrigeration or won't survive same-day handling. We may refuse or return any package that falls into these categories.

Our responsibility

We handle every package with reasonable care and confirm delivery with the recipient's name and, where taken, a photo. In the rare event of loss or damage caused by us, our liability is limited to the delivery fee paid plus the reasonable, evidenced value of the item, up to a limit we'll agree with business customers. We are not responsible for delays or losses beyond our reasonable control.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Rivers State.
